Welcome to NetBeans Profiler 5.5.1 for NetBeans IDE 5.5.1 page. This is just a bugfix release, no new features have been added to the Profiler. List of system requirements and known issues can be found in NetBeans Profiler 5.5.1 Release Notes document.

Which one to download? To use the Profiler, download the installer for your OS. If you need to profile applications running on other computer than where NetBeans is installed, download also appropriate remote pack for target OS and JDK version/architecture. If you need to profile local applications running only on 1.4.2-based JDK, download also special modified JVM.

Instructions
- Uninstall any previous version of the Profiler before proceeding with installing this release. Launch and complete the downloaded installer, restart the IDE if running.
- If using remote pack, unpack the downloaded archive on remote machine,
nb-profiler-serverfolder with two subfolders will be created. Run thecalibrate.sh (calibrate.bat)script located innb-profiler-serverfolder to perform initial calibration. Then follow instructions on how to attach Profiler to remotely started application. - If using Modified 1.4.2 JVM, install the downloaded
nbmpackage as a regular module into your IDE, it will be automatically registered as new Java platform. Note that this is an experimental JDK without any support. Read the documentation on JVMs supported by the Profiler.
